What Is Cabling and Bracing?
Cabling and bracing (also known as tree surgery) is a practice intended to improve the integrity and strength of your trees. It adds structural support and reduces any unnecessary weight your trees branches might have. This helps to reduce the risk of limbs breaking in storms and protects your tree as well as your property from damage.
How Does Cabling and Bracing Work?
The process involved in cabling and bracing your trees is simple! First, our arborists prune the tree. This removes any unnecessary weight from the trees canopy and evenly spreads out the weight of the branches. Next step, we install the hardware. This involves securing the “crotch” with one or more steel rods to secure the base of the limb. Following this we install a steel cable approximately 2/3 of the way up between the limbs being secured to provide support for the upper canopy.
