How is a tree removed?

We at Symmetree have been taking trees down in the Calgary region for 9 years and utilize all the latest industry approved methods for tree removal.

We begin by taking note of all potential risks and creating a safety zone for our arborists to work within. Then, taking in variables such as specific customer requests, the scope of the tree in particular, and all safety concerns we will either take the tree down limb by limb, using technical rigging methods or, if possible, we can drop the tree to the ground and piece it apart from there.

Also, firewood can be kept by the client if they would like.

Common Reasons for Tree Removal :

• • The tree may be a risk or a safety concern

• • The size of the tree may be too large for the property

• • Underground infrastructure issues can become a reality if invasive roots begin to lift driveways, get into sewage or pipe systems. The tree may also be damaging property above ground as well

• • Risky power/ service lines may be growing overhead needing constant attention

• • Tree’s can visually impair views, roadways, and prevent light from accessing the property

• • The tree may have sustained significant levels of storm damage

• • The tree may be dead

• • Trees that have not been cared for or pruned properly may be aesthetically displeasing or “ugly”

• • May be necessary to give access for other, more valued, trees to grow and meet their light, health and nutrient requirements.

• It may be more cost effective to have the tree removed versus having the tree pruned and maintained regularly

Before you remove your tree!

Removal may not be necessary! Much of the time there are less drastic solutions for whatever may be causing you to consider taking your tree down. For example, if your concern is related to a declining tree or its structural integrity, our pruning, pest/disease, and fertilization programs can address these issues most of the time. Our arborists are able to assess your trees health condition and make recommendations that are tailored to your needs.
